Why a doberman? They mean and ugly.

They're vicious looking dogs. Elegant at the same time, I suppose, depending on the eyes of the beholder of such a dog.

Me? I'd go with a Golden Retriever lol.
Or maybe a Bernese Mountain Dog or an Alaskan Malamute

Not a big fan of Malamutes/Huskies. I've never really liked Golden Retrievers, either. Or Black Labs. Hunh.

Excuse me? Mean? Dobermans are not mean.

They are loyal, protective dogs and make excellent family dogs. They have an incredibly high tolerance for babies and children and are extremely intelligent. They do not attack people unless they feel like they are being threatened or if they feel that their family is being threatened. Great guard dogs.

As for this "ugly" opinion you have... Name a dog breed that's more attractive than a doberman, and maybe I'll accept that your tastes are merely different from mine, rather than completely WRONG.

I think the main reasons I don't like them is because they are skinny, and I hate it when dogs are skinny. Also, my dad's ex had one that hated asian people and attacked them whenever he saw them. I could name a lot of breeds more attractive than a doberman, huskies, german shepards, and collies are my favorite.

I think they're elegant and graceful. You want skinny, check out a greyhound. Or a Saluki: I LOVE Salukis XD

Hunh. That's interesting. Although I suppose it's possible for any breed to dislike a certain race; wasn't there an issue in Africa or something, about dogs that were around that were trained to attack african people?

German shepherds are nice. They're too jovial compared to the doberman, in my opinion, but I don't mind them.

You people and your huskies. I don't know what all the fuss is about them: I don't like huskies at all. You had me at the shepherd, though. If I can't have a doberman, the german shepherd is my next choice.
